MusicLite Privacy Policy

Important Notice: MusicLite takes user privacy protection very seriously. This app only collects necessary device information for crash analysis and does not collect any sensitive personal information (such as location, contacts, IDFA, etc.). Your music files are stored entirely locally and will never be uploaded to our servers.

This privacy policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, store, and protect your information. Please read carefully and fully understand all content of this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Device Information (Automatically Collected)

To provide stable services and analyze app crash issues, we collect the following device information through Tencent Bugly SDK:

  • Device model (e.g., iPhone 14)
  • Operating system version (e.g., iOS 17.0)
  • App version number
  • Crash logs and stack traces
  • App runtime duration
  • Network status (Wi-Fi/Mobile Network)

Purpose: Analyze crash causes and improve app stability
Third-party SDK: Tencent Bugly (Privacy Policy)

1.2 Device Identifier

We generate a random device ID when you first use the app and store it in the system keychain:

  • Device ID (randomly generated UUID)

Purpose: Identify devices, provide membership services, and restore membership status even after app uninstallation
Storage Location: iOS System Keychain (stored locally on your device only)

1.3 Membership Purchase Information

When you purchase membership services, we collect and store the following information:

  • Purchase time
  • Subscription type (Weekly/Yearly/Lifetime)
  • Membership expiration time
  • Apple payment receipt (used to verify purchase authenticity)

Purpose: Provide membership benefits, prevent fraudulent purchases
Storage Location: Our servers (encrypted storage)

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We expressly commit that we will NOT collect the following information:

  • Geolocation information
  • Contacts, SMS, call logs
  • IDFA (Identifier for Advertising)
  • Face ID, fingerprint, and other biometric information
  • Your music file content (all music files stored locally only)
  • Other photos in your album (only access single photos when you select them)
  • Microphone recordings

3. Permission Usage

Camera Permission

Purpose: Take photos as music cover art

Trigger Timing: Only requested when you tap "Take Photo for Cover"

Photo Library Permission

Purpose: Select photos as music cover art

Trigger Timing: Only requested when you tap "Select Cover from Album"

Media Library Permission

Purpose: Read system music library (Apple Music/iPod music)

Trigger Timing: Requested when first using the app

Network Permission

Purpose: Verify membership purchases, upload crash logs, link extraction feature

Note: Will NOT upload your music files

Clipboard Permission

Purpose: Read links from clipboard for audio extraction feature

Trigger Timing: Only read when you use the "Link Extraction" feature

Note: Only reads link-formatted text, does not read other types of clipboard content (such as photos, passwords, etc.)

Usage Guidelines: This feature is used to extract audio files from public, free audio resource links. We recommend that you only extract audio resources clearly marked as "public", "free", or "allowed to download".

Privacy Protection: Read links are only used for local audio file extraction and will not be uploaded to servers or third parties.

Note: You can turn off these permissions at any time in iOS System Settings, but this may affect the use of related features.

4. Information Usage

The information we collect is used only for the following purposes:

  • Provide and maintain app services
  • Analyze app crashes and errors, improve app stability
  • Verify membership purchases, provide membership benefits
  • Prevent fraud and abuse
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements

We promise: We will not use your information for any form of advertising推送 or marketing purposes.

5. Information Storage and Protection

5.1 Storage Locations

  • Local Storage: Music files, playlist data, and device ID are stored locally on your device
  • Server Storage: Membership purchase information is stored on our cloud servers (within China)

5.2 Security Measures

  • Use HTTPS encryption for membership purchase information transmission
  • Server data is encrypted at rest
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability fixes
  • Strictly limit employee access permissions (only the operator has access)

5.3 Retention Periods

  • Membership purchase records: Retained for 1 year after your membership expires
  • Crash logs: Automatically deleted after 30 days
  • Local data: Deleted with app uninstallation (except device ID, which is stored in system keychain)

6. Information Sharing and Disclosure

6.1 Third-party Service Providers

We share necessary information with the following third-party service providers:

  • Tencent Bugly: Device information, crash logs (for app stability analysis)
  • Apple App Store: Purchase information (for processing in-app purchases and subscriptions)

6.2 Our Commitments

  • Will not sell, rent, or trade your personal information
  • Will not provide your music files to any third party
  • Will only disclose information to government agencies when required by law

7. Your Rights

Under applicable privacy laws and regulations, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: Query the personal information we hold about you
  • Right to Correction: Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Right to Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent to information collection at any time
  • Right to Account Cancellation: Uninstall the app to stop services (device ID will remain in keychain)

8. Children's Privacy Protection

This app is intended for users of all ages. If you are a child under the age of 14, please use this app with your guardian's supervision. We do not actively collect children's personal information.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. After updates, we will notify you within the app and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated privacy policy.
